Over 10 years of experience in discovery research and new technology development. Rafal earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University, where he applied multidimensional nuclear magnetic resonance methods to study membrane proteins structures, dynamics, and protein-drug interactions. He did postdoctoral training at the department of Quantitative Biosciences (QB3) at University of California at Berkeley, where he developed single molecule assays and models for quantitative assessment of the immune system activation. Rafal also worked with Agios Pharmaceuticals Business Development team on identifying commercial opportunities in the Orphan Disease space.

At L'Oréal, Rafal leads a team focused on identifying and developing new technology in the area of connected devices, sensors and wearable for skin health and skin care evaluation.
